The Bodhi tree under which the Budha was enlightened about 2600 years back became a magnetic location as Bodhgaya. A niche of Gaya city became place of convergence for the Buddhists especially on the full moon night known as Buddha Purnima that falls in the month of Vaishakh(April-May).

Bodh Gaya

A place where Lord Buddha left his foot steps nearly 2500 years ago while travelling in the quest of enlightenment, situated by the river Phalgu, Bodhgaya is one of the most important and sacred Buddhist pilgrimage center in the world.

Lumbini

Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, which was destined to be the prevalent religion in Asia. This nativity site, identified by the Ashokan Pillar, erected by Magadhan emperor Ashoka, to commemorate the birth place of Buddha, the Lumbini grove.

  • Day 1: DArrival Delhi

    Welcome on arrival at Delhi int’l airport meet & assistances by our co. representative then transfer to hotel in Delhi.

  • Day 2: Delhi / Lucknow / Sravasti

    Early morning wake-up. After having tea / coffee at hotel transfer to railway station to connect train no. 2004 Shatabdi express. Leaving Delhi at 0620 hrs. On arrival Lucknow at 1220 hrs transfer to hotel for lunch. Drive to Sravasti (200 kms, 05 hrs). On arrival transfer to hotel. Evening free.

    Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Sravasti.

  • Day 3: Sravasti / Lumbini

    Breakfast at hotel. Proceeds for sightseeing visiting maheth: identified with the remains of the city, maheth cover an area of about 400 acres. Excavations have exposed the massive gates of the city, ramparts and also the ruins of other structures, which stand testimony to the prosperity of ancient Sravasti, saheth – known primarily as the site of the jetvana monastery; saheth covers an area of 32 acres. Lying about a quarter of a mile to the south-west of maheth, it become an important place of pilgrimage, adorned with numerous shrines, stupas and monasteries. Lunch at hotel. Drive to Lumbini (225 kms, 6 hrs).

    On arrival transfer to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Lumbini.

  • Day 4: Varanasi – Bodhgaya

    Morning boat rides on the Sacred River Ganges to rituals performed by priests and devotees. After lunch proceed for Bodhgaya.

  • Day 5: Kushinagar – Vaishali / Patna: (Kushinagar/Vaishali, 215 kms and Vaishali / Patna, 75 kms,)

    Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Patna (285 kms, 6-7 hrs). with pack lunch enroute sightseeing of Vaishali – an special place for the Buddhists as Buddha delivered his last sermon here and announced his impending “ nirvana “ the 2nd Buddhist council held after 100 years of Buddha’s parinirvana “ also took place here. After sightseeing drive to Patna. On arrival check-in. dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Patna.

  • Day 6: Patna – Nalanda – Rajgir / Bodhgaya

    Breakfast at hotel. Drive to bodhgaya, enroute sightseeing of Nalanda (110 kms, 4:00 hrs). On arrival sightseeing ruins of Nalanda University – the centre of one of the oldest known universities of the world the ruin contains a number of Buddhist stupas & chaityas, monasteries, hostels, cells or rooms on four sides with a central courtyard. Drive to Rajgir (17 kms, 30 mnts). Here sightseeing places are Gridhkuta (vulture’s peak) – a hill on which Buddha mediated, bimbisara prison – king bimbisar was imprisoned here by his son ajatstru, venuvan vihara – a bamboo garden of king bimbisara, who made it as a gift to lord Buddha. Lunch will be at restaurant in Rajgir. Afternoon sightseeing drive to bodhgaya (90 kms, 3:30 hrs).on arrival transfer to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in bodhgaya.

  • Day 7: At Bodhgaya

    Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast visit mahabodhi temple – the main shrine of supreme enlightenment, the mahabodhi temple is unique amongst other north Indian temples. It is an architectural amalgaunation of many centuries & cultures. The Bodhi tree – situated inside the temple premises, under which Buddha attained illumination. It is believed to be the fourth or fifth generation off springs of the original. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Nirjana River, sujata village & monasteries of different countries. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in bodhgaya.

  • Day 8: Bodhgaya / Varanasi

    Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Varanasi (250 kms, 6-7 hrs). With pack lunch. On arrival first sightseeing of Senath – situated about 10 km from Varanasi is the place where Buddha preached his first sermon after he had attained enlightenment at bodhgaya. At museum in Sarnath can see the Ashoka pillar with its four guardia lions that has been as India’s national emblem. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Varanasi.

  • Day 9: Varanasi / Agra

    Early morning wake up. Visit to river Ganges – sightseeing of wonderful Ghats (bank of river) enjoy boat ride with picturesque view of sunrise. Kashi vishwanath temple – near the Ghats is the most sacred of the shrines dedicated to the lord Shiva. Originally constructed by the queen of ondore in 1776. Breakfast at hotel. Start city tour visiting Bharat Mata Mandir – inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, is a unique temple dedicated to mother India, durga temple one of the important temples dedicated to goddess durga. Constructed in the 18th century. kaal bhairva – situated in visheswarganj, bhairno nath, is a temple dedicated to lord Shiva. Lunch will be at the hotel. Then transfer to railway station to connect train no. 4863 (marudhar exp.) leaving Varanasi at 1835 hrs. Packed dinner will be provided, overnight on board.

  • Day 10: Agra / Delhi

    Arrival at Agra cant railway station at 0650 hrs. Transfer to hotel wash & change and have breakfast. For sightseeing of agar city first visiting one of the world’s most popular monument – “Taj Mahal” built by Mughal emperor Shajahan for his empress Mumtaj Mahal. The construction believed to have taken 22 years (started in 1631) to complete with over 20,000 craftsmen working round the clock. Now proceed for sightseeing tour of magnificent Agra fort – built in the bank of Yamuna River, is situated in the centre of the town. Various styles of the architecture are evident within the fort & demonstrates the love of Mughal emperors towards building beautiful monuments. After lunch drive to Delhi (210 kms, 4:30 hrs). On arrival transfer to restaurant for dinner. After dinner check-in. overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

  • Day 11: Departure Delhi

    Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for sightseeing visiting qutub minar – an 11th century victry tower that rises to a height of 73 mtr, lotus temple – a place of faith that all visitors must see the Baha’i temple. a beautiful marble building in the form of blossoming lotus, surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens India gate – at the centre of the city ( 42 mtr. high stone arch ) is a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers who fought & died in the campaigns of World War 01 & afghan war, presidents house – built in 1929, once the imperial residence of the British viceroys and now official residence of the president of Indian republic, parliament house – this circular shaped building houses the two houses of parliament – the lok sabha ( lower ) & the rajya sabha ( upper ). Its domed central hall is 90 feet in diameter, Lakshmi Narayan temple, lunch at restaurant. Afternoon free for shopping. Evening dinner will be at nice city restaurant. Timely transfer to airport to catch flight back home with sweet memories of your India visit.
