Barcelona

Madrid

The capital city of Spain, Madrid was the historical center of the Spanish Empire. The city's royal past can be seen in the historical monuments and palaces that stand displaying the grandeur of the medieval period. Madrid is famed for its artistic heritage and its perfect blend with the modern lifestyle. Madrid homes the famous Royal Palace, monuments and buildings that were once built by the Spanish Monarchy. Madrid has one of Spain's two most famous wine regions Ribera del Duero and other being La Rioja as well as the lesser-known wine regions around the capital.

  • Day 1: Welcome to Barcelona!

    After getting settled in your hotel, get ready for fun and a fast-paced tour that includes the most important sights of Spain’s second largest city and the Capital of Catalonia. After you tour, prepare for an enjoyable dinner at a lively local restaurant.

  • Day 2: Today is all about Spanish art and culture.

    Your first tour includes a market walk to learn about the gourmet food of Spain. Explore the secrets of the Catalan gastronomic culture as you sample food in specialty shops while on your tour. You will even wander through a famous roaster, known for its specialty coffee bean and nuts. Then walk through the Picasso Museum for a fascinating view of the exquisite art displays.

  • Day 3: Penedes wine region

    Taste the delicate sparkling Cava wines on your private winery tours in the Penedes wine region. Your day will also include a wonderful winery lunch! This evening you will check into a winery lodge, where you will relax and prepare for a lovely dining experience.

  • Day 4: Priorato wine region

    Taste the bold wines of the Priorato wine region today, as you make your way up to on the Costa-Brava coast. Your winery excursions will be very exclusive Emporda and cover the best wineries in the region. Before dinner, walk along the beautiful sandy seashore in this region.

  • Day 5: Rioja wine region

    It’s off to Bilbao today, the most northern tip of the Rioja wine region. Your day of travel includes a refreshing welcome wine tasting. Then find your stay arrangement where Freshen up and bring your appetite for an authentic Basque dinner.

  • Day 6:

    Begin your day with a visit to the Guggenheim museum before tasting magnificent wines in the area. Taste your way to Burgos while savoring the most delicious wines of Rioja. This evening take the time to explore this marvelous city by night.

  • Day 7:

    The Ribera del Duero has more incredible wines for you to taste. The Ribera del Duero is a beautiful vineyard region and also has a variety of delightful restaurant options for lunch.

  • Day 8:

    The scenic drive to Madrid is pleasing.
    Stay arrangement and then Take the rest to become familiar with your surroundings while strolling through the streets window shopping at the many specialty and boutique stores. Dinner tonight is authentic Tapas and a Flamenco show.

  • Day 9:

    Enjoy your city tour of Madrid this morning, stopping at the Prada Museum and the Royal Palace. Your afternoon may include souvenir shopping for family at home.

  • Day 10:

    Spend the day taking in the sights of Toledo today; Toledo is a National Monument to Spain’s art and history, combining Arabic, Mudejar Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The city is surrounded by the River Tajo and the atmosphere of the walled town will surely be a highlight on your wine country vacation. Return to Madrid for dinner for a special wine tasting and Farewell dinner.

    Peacefully drive to the Madrid airport, where you will begin your journey home.
