In the green hills of Massalubrense, a quaint village in the heart of the Sorrentine peninsula, we can find a lovely country house whose foundations date back to the 14th century. You will be welcomed in breathtaking surroundings of vineyards, olive, lemon and fruit trees and invited to taste a wide range of freshly homemade food products. Sorrento is situated on a plain above the sea, overlooking the Bay of Naples. The view from Sorrento stretches back to the north, encompassing Vesuvius, the city of Naples, and the island of Ischia.   • Day 1:

    In the morning you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred by minibus to the country house.

    On arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative who will take you to visit the Limoneto, an outstanding example of the typical Sorrentine lemon tree gardens, where you will be shown how the famous Limoncello lemon liqueur is made.

    During the demonstration, you will try the freshly made Limoncello and have a sip of the smooth sweetness of its flavour.

    Then, you will be led to visit the Limoneto whose surroundings are characterized by the Pagliarelle which are wooden and straw structure coverings that are aimed to protect the lemon trees from storms, hail and strong winds during the winter season. After the visit, you will be invited to have lunch and taste all the specialties produced by the house.

    A large wooden table with rustic benches will be placed in the midst of this beautiful garden and crispy toasted slices of homemade bread dipped in olive oil, fresh tomato salad, a large assortment of pickled vegetables, sliced salami and Caciocavallo smoked cheese with local wine, will be served.

    Lunch will be ended with a great variety of desserts from a traditional home made Torta to the tasty Babà al Limoncello, small sponge cakes moistened in lemon liqueur which will be perfectly accompanied by a nice sip of Limoncello.

    In the old cellar of the country house, there is a large display of Limoncello, wines and many other local products. For those who wish to bring back home a taste of the unforgettable flavours and aromas of the Sorrentine peninsula, you can buy any of these homemade food products at convenient prices.

    After lunch, you will return to your preferred hotel by minibus.
