Xi'an, also called Changan is the largest city in north-west China. It had served as the nation's capital for 13 dynasties such as Western Zhou (11th century BC - 771 BC), Qin (221 BC - 206 BC), Western Han (206 BC - 24 AD) and Tang (618 - 907) for more than 1000 years. It is famous for historical importance.
As the largest city in China, Shanghai is located in central-eastern China, confronting the East China Sea. Shanghai is mainly sectioned into two parts: Pudong (east of the Huangpu River) and Puxi (west of the Huangpu River).
Start Beijing.
Three full days sightseeing in China’s capital; including the Forbidden City, Hutongs, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace, plus an unforgettable visit to the Great Wall; overnight train to Xi’an on day five.
Morning walking tour of the Muslim area and mosque. Free afternoon or optional cycle ride on city walls.

Drive to Leshan and visit the Grand Buddha; on to Emei Shan.
Sightseeing including a trip to the summit of Mt Emei, one of China’s four holy Buddhist sites; return to Chengdu.
Visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Centre; to Chongqing, board cruise boat.
Two full days cruising the spectacular Yangtze River including the Three Gorges and see the dam.
Disembark; overnight sleeper train to Liuzhou.
Arrive Liuzhou; transfer to Yangshuo; free afternoon.
Drive to Suzhou, famous for its canals and silk industry; tour of gardens; late afternoon return to Shanghai.
